Wow, that's really cool! I was listening to someone's Chiptune entry to the OST Composing Jam #7 and it reminded me of you, so I wanted to see whether you made an entry for it as well; instead, I found this beauty! Really cool. I already thought that it must have been partly 3D-animated (no way that anyone can draw that rotating square in the microwave so cleanly!), but that, 3D-animating, too is hard. Your 2D and 3D blend together real smoothly - I mean, I wasn't even really sure that you used 3D until I read about it. And, as always, congrats on just finishing something, that is hard enough by itself!
Oh, I just noticed this is over a year old... still impressive though :)
Thank you! I’m impressed you found this in the first place.
So over on the music jams people don’t really know this, but I’m an animator first and musician second, the reason people can’t tell is because 1 animation takes more time to make so I don’t have that much animated content and 2 I’m more picky with art in terms of what I upload on the internet.
You could probably tell a little considering I’ve been doing more production on the latest music videos I’ve made.
Anyways thank you again, couldn’t make it to OST7 this time, but let’s see if I can make something for other jams:D
(Also that cube is 3D, I could’ve made it drawing frame by frame, but 2 week time limit for a whole short made me take some shortcuts lol)
That's cool, I wish I could animate like that! My drawing skills could still use some improvement, but I'm slowly getting there :) And don't worry about not making it to OST7, I'll see you in another jam :D
Wonderful animation. I like your inspired approach to the world building and how you use limitations to further benefit relating to the theme. I also appreciate that you took time to research, I wish I had done the same. The editing was excellent, loved the levels on the SFX and the cuts. My only wish is more distinct facial expression, particularly at the "no taste" portion. Also maybe more of a conclusion, although there was a limited time to do this. Otherwise really good job!
